Interior Design Materials Resource Librarian

Rottet Studio (www.rottetstudio.com) internationally renowned architecture and design firm with an extensive portfolio of high-end residential, luxury hospitality and corporate interiors work, is seeking a Resource Librarian for their Houston, TX office. The Resource Librarian is the primary point of contact between the design team and vendors, manages the materials library and offers administrative support across the firm. The role of the Resource Librarian is to assist, educate, and inspire the Design team through the following responsibilities: Vendor Coordination • Maintain library organization and facilitate product updates • Meet with Sales Representatives to screen new products • Schedule presentations catering to the studios needs • Curate rotating internal displays and disseminate library news • Coordinate sample returns and recycling Project Support • Assist with sourcing and research of new materials • Order samples for client meetings and records • Assist with documentation and archiving of completed projects Office Administration • Receive guests and direct in-coming calls • Coordinate shipping requests and process packages • Maintain the vendor contact list Qualifications • Undergraduate Degree in Architecture, Interior Design or related field • 1 - 3 years of experience working in an Interior Design firm • Proficient in MS Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel, Power Point) • Familiarity with Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign a bonus Benefits: • Health insurance • Dental insurance • Vision insurance • Flexible Spending Account • Life insurance • 401(k) • Paid Time Off • This is a Monday to Friday in-person opportunity with some flexibility.
