About this role

JOB SUMMARY NOTE: This is a FLEX Associate Engagement Position type: Full-Time Duration: Through the end of the year 2024 Marriott International's Premium Distinctive Brands design team seeks a passionate Interior Design Manager. This role combines storytelling and strategic thinking to guide design projects, ensuring adherence to brand standards and fostering collaborative relationships. Role Responsibilities • Provide design guidance through formal and informal reviews. • Ensure design standards are met programmatically and for quality. • Work on franchised and managed deals with internal and external stakeholders. • Foster relationships in a collaborative atmosphere. • Provide value to owners with on-strategy solutions. • Manage design consultants and project budgets. • Present and sell design concepts to senior executives and owners. • Update and track project status using appropriate tools. Qualifications • Six or more years of experience in the design field. • 4-year degree in a related design discipline. • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, project scheduling, and database management software (e.g., Microsoft Project, AutoCAD, Bluebeam, Adobe). • Strong business acumen. • Problem-solving and creative solution skills. • Ability to build and maintain strong working relationships. • Demonstrated ability to deliver results under difficult conditions. Competencies • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities. • Excellent project management skills. • Effective presentation skills. • Sales orientation. • Understanding of architectural and contract documents. • Knowledgeable about FF&E specification software and industry trends.
