Interior Design Manager - Residential Remodeling

About the position The Interior Design Manager at HDR Remodeling is responsible for leading a talented design team in transforming clients' remodeling visions into reality. This role combines design expertise with leadership skills to ensure exceptional service and project execution, while fostering a collaborative and supportive team environment. The manager will oversee design quality, client relationships, and contribute to the company's profitability through effective project management and sales strategies. Responsibilities • Lead the design team by developing and implementing policies and goals, recruiting, hiring, and training staff. , • Manage the preparation and quality control of design documents, including construction drawings and permits. , • Collaborate with clients and the HDR team to set and refine project scopes, review budgets, and secure design and construction agreements. , • Refine and improve the sales process to meet personal and company sales goals. , • Collaborate with the Head of Business Development to develop design fee estimates and monitor departmental progress against targets. , • Train design staff on production needs and collaborate with the production team to improve the accuracy of drawings, estimates, and contracts. , • Oversee the transfer of comprehensive project details from design to production and support production during the construction phase. , • Ensure timely ordering and documentation of fixtures and finishes, and address client needs or change orders.
