Interior Design Lead Specialist

Job Summary Rochester Institute of Technology is seeking a highly experienced Interior Designer III to join their Facilities Management Services team. In this role, you will have the opportunity to leverage your expertise in interior design, project management, and technical consulting to drive the creation of innovative and functional spaces that support the university's mission. Key Responsibilities • Develop and implement comprehensive interior design strategies for projects across campus. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless project execution, from design development to implementation. • Provide technical design expertise, including space planning, furniture selection, and finish materials specification. • Maintain Furniture and Finishes requirements in the RIT Design and Construction Guidelines. Requirements • Bachelor's degree in interior design, architecture, or related field. • Minimum 8 years of experience in interior design, with a focus on institutional clients. • Proven track record of successful project delivery, including design development, documentation, and implementation. • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and project management skills. • Proficiency in software tools, including Autodesk AutoCAD, Revit, and Adobe Creative Suite.
