Interior Design Lead

Job Summary LKV Architects is seeking an experienced Interior Designer to establish and develop an integrated interior design practice within our architectural firm. This individual will have the opportunity to shape the direction and growth of LKV’s interior design capabilities while working collaboratively with our architectural team on a wide range of projects throughout Idaho and the region. The ideal candidate will bring strong interior design expertise, excellent communication skills, and the vision and initiative necessary to build an interior design practice from the ground up. Responsibilities: Develop the vision, scope, and operational structure for LKV’s interior design services. Establish interior design standards, processes, specifications, finish libraries, and documentation procedures. Lead interior design projects from programming and conceptual design through construction administration. Develop space planning, programming, furniture layouts, finish selections, color palettes, and material concepts. Prepare and oversee interior elevations, finish plans, reflected ceiling plans, millwork design, details, and specifications. Coordinate interior design with architectural, structural, mechanical, electrical, and other consultants. Participate in construction administration and assist with resolving interior design-related construction issues. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Interior Architecture, or a related field. 5-10 + years of professional interior design experience in an architectural or integrated architecture/interiors firm. Strong understanding of interior design documentation and construction processes. Proficiency with Revit and other industry-standard design and documentation software. Experience with material, finish, furniture, and fixture selection. NCIDQ certification or pursuit of certification. Experience working on commercial, educational, civic, institutional, or other public-sector projects is highly desirable.
