Job Description
We are seeking a passionate and driven Interior Design Intern to join our dynamic team in Fayetteville, Arkansas. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced, creative studio environment. You will work closely with experienced designers and architects, contributing to various stages of exciting interior design projects. This role is ideal for an individual eager to apply their academic knowledge to real-world challenges and develop a strong foundation in professional interior design practice.
Key Responsibilities
• Assist senior designers with material research, selection, and specification.
• Support the creation of design presentations, mood boards, and client deliverables.
• Prepare and revise drawings in Revit and AutoCAD, including floor plans, elevations, and details.
• Organize and maintain the design library, including material samples and vendor information.
• Participate in team meetings, client presentations, and site visits as opportunities arise.
• Assist with rendering and visualization tasks using software like SketchUp and Adobe Creative Suite.
• Conduct research on industry trends, new products, and sustainable design practices.
• Perform administrative tasks to support the interior design team.
Required Skills
• Currently enrolled in an accredited Bachelor's or Master's program in Interior Design, Interior Architecture, or a related field.
• Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD.
• Familiarity with SketchUp and Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator).
• Strong graphic and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment and take direction.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• A portfolio demonstrating design skills and academic projects.
Preferred Qualifications
• Previous internship experience in an architecture or interior design firm.
• Experience with rendering software such as Lumion, Enscape, or V-Ray.
• Knowledge of sustainable design principles and LEED accreditation.
• Strong hand-sketching and visualization abilities.
