About this role

About the position The Interior Design Intern at First Citizens Bank is part of a summer internship program aimed at providing hands-on work experience and development opportunities. Interns will support the Corporate Real Estate Interior Design Program by engaging in various projects, attending professional development sessions, and contributing to the improvement of processes within the organization. This role is designed to help interns apply their academic knowledge in a corporate setting while making a positive impact on the bank and the communities it serves. Responsibilities • Provide administrative and technical support to the Corporate Real Estate Interior Design Program. , • Engage in research, analytics, projects, strategy, process review and improvement, and technology enhancements. , • Attend professional development sessions, networking, and community service events. , • Work under the guidance of a dedicated manager and program manager throughout the internship. , • Be assigned a project aimed at improving a specific process or solving a problem, culminating in a presentation at the end of the internship. , • Prepare a wrap-up presentation to share accomplishments and experiences with division leaders and key stakeholders. , • Learn about the development and selection process of branch project finishes and Furniture Fixtures & Equipment (FF&E) standards. , • Assist with oversight of warehouse branch inventory. , • Support the implementation and installation of furnishings such as artwork and furniture. Requirements • High School Diploma or GED and 1 year of experience. , • Currently enrolled at an accredited collegiate institution during the summer program. , • Ability to work 40 hours per week during the duration of the program. Nice-to-haves • 3.0 minimum GPA , • Strong desire to learn and grow , • Pursuing a degree in Interior Design, Interior Architecture, or Textile Design , • Interest/knowledge in traditional or English interior design , • Possess a positive attitude, naturally curious, and enjoys collaborating with others , • Strong verbal and written communication skills , • Critical thinking skills , • Ability to multitask , • Ability to adapt and adjust priorities based on business needs , • Ability to take direction and absorb information quickly Benefits • Comprehensive benefits program for full-time associates (20+ hours) with customized offerings to support families.
