Interior Design Intern

Kinetic Design + Development is looking for an Interior Design Intern to join the Krew. As an Interior Design Intern at Kinetic, you’ll get hands-on experience in every stage of the design process—from concept development and detailing to rendering and material selection. You’ll work alongside talented designers and architects on active projects, supporting our teams while gaining the practical skills, professional confidence, and insight you need to launch your career. What You’ll Do • Support lead designers and project teams in the design and documentation process • Assist with creating drawings, models, and renderings using Revit, AutoCAD, and Lumion • Help prepare schematic and design development presentations • Participate in client meetings, take notes, and document action items • Conduct research on materials, finishes, codes, and design precedents • Help maintain and organize the materials library, return samples, and coordinate with vendor reps • Order and track material samples and pricing information • Prepare for client and internal meetings by assembling presentations, printing documents, and organizing materials • Participate in field visits to measure and document existing conditions under supervision • Assist with prototype layouts and simple design exercises • Collaborate with the Kinetic Interior Design Krew to support project goals and maintain high standards of quality Tools You’ll Use Revit, AutoCAD, Lumion, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), and Microsoft Office Suite What You’ll Bring • Enrollment in a 4+ year Bachelor’s or Master’s program in Interior Design or Interior Architecture • Completion of at least the 3rd year of a 4-year program (junior or senior status) • Foundational knowledge of Revit, AutoCAD, and Lumion • Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite applications • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings • Strong communication and organizational skills • A proactive, flexible, and professional attitude • A genuine eagerness to learn from hands-on experience and team mentorship Why Join the Krew: Our Vision: Kinetic Design + Development is pushing the limits of traditional architectural practice.
