About this role

Interior Design Intern www.stephaniekingdesign.com This is an exciting opportunity to join an interior design studio that specializes in the design of High-End Residential Interiors. Based in the Boston Metro Area, Stephanie King Design serves clients throughout New England and across the country. The design studio approaches each project with a tailored process that provides clients with an individualized home design that is both bespoke in style and uniquely theirs. Lead by Award-winning Interior Designer, Stephanie King, whose talent focuses on curating a bespoke and crafted interior that blends the lines of home and art. Her skills are known for creating collected interiors that pair found-items with modern and eclectic accents. The intern will be responsible for supporting and executing the quality of the projects under the supervision of the lead designer. Daily design duties will include data entry, creating presentations, requesting samples, requesting quotes, helping with site visits, and problem solving with a positive attitude and being a flexible team player. Strong written and verbal communication skills are must. Experience: Interest in and/ or experience with high-end residential design Introductory knowledge of AutoCAD and willingness to learn Basic knowledge of furniture, lighting, design materials, and industry standards Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) & Photoshop A professional demeanor and strong work ethic Responsibilities: Requesting of quotes, creation of proposals & purchase orders. Enter information into Studio IT software for review by lead designer. Create and maintain tracking grids for status reporting Create and maintain design schedules such as lighting, finishes, tile and stone, etc. Coordinate with architects, contractors, etc. and other correspondence necessary for projects Assist with preparation of presentation material for client meetings Coordinate and assist with installations & scheduling Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time Administrative office tasks Materials library maintenance Strong ability to problem solve, wear many hats and take initiative Job Type: Part-time Benefits: Schedule: • 2-3 days a week Ability to commute (this job is not remote): • Bolton, MA 01740 License/Certification: • Driver's License (Required) • Working towards a Bachelor’s Degree Job Type: Part-time Pay: From $18.00 per hour Schedule: • 8 hour shift Work Location: In person
