Interior Design Intern

This role is responsible for, • Assisting Interior Design Project Manager and Principle Design Director with handling Commercial projects from design conception to finish within project timeframe and scope. • Conducts brainstorming sessions, extensive research, develops mood boards and narratives for design proposals to attract potential leads. • Record observations during on-site visits, arrange CAD files, categorize materials, and document measurements. • Assist with hand sketches, enhancing space planning, layout, and utilization of furnishings or equipment, and color coordination • Incorporate corresponding material specifications and schedules related to architectural documents for use in bidding and final specifications • Collaborate with team members to prepare presentation materials as required, including but not limited to colored elevations, 3D renderings, interior architectural floor plans, and elevations. • Creating photorealistic renderings of spaces, visual references, and furniture design development to be used during proposal phases and presented to clients. • Compiling an FF&E (Furniture, Fixtures, and Equipment) list while adhering to budget constraints and reaching out to suppliers. Job Requirements • Internship or classwork experience in Rhino, AutoCAD, and Indesign, Photoshop preferred but not required • This individual possesses strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities, fosters collaboration, and demonstrates excellent time management skills. • Demonstrates a deep understanding of current hospitality design trends and stays at the forefront of emerging trends. • Collaborates closely with the lead designer and project managers on multiple projects, contributing valuable insights and expertise. • Must be familiar with project management tools like Notion and Slack • Proficiency in interior design tools such as Rhino, CAD drafting, Photoshop, and Procreate is a requirement for this role. • Check out our website to see if you are into the same thing as we are! • Preferred, proficiency in Mandarin!
