About this role

Studio Corbeau is a full-service boutique design firm focused on high-end commercial and residential projects across the country. We are growing and looking to add an eager design intern that has a positive attitude, sense of humor, and amazing work ethic. This designer will be passionate about design, detail-oriented, and ideally working towards a degree in Interior Design, a recent graduate, or... someone with 1-2 years of experience at a firm. As a junior designer, you will work closely with the Principal Designer and Studio Director, to support in the design and execution of large commercial retail projects, as well as, high-end residential interior design projects. This position will be a part-time, PAID (16-30 hours) with the possibility of turning into a full-time position as the company grows. Hours will be based on project workload, so we are looking for someone who is flexible and willing to work more hours, if needed. School credit is available, if needed. Job Responsibilities: • Build Sketchup models for all new store locations from site survey info • Develop design presentations & presentation templates • Source & build finish and material libraries/schedules per project • Source furniture, fixtures, & props for photoshoots • Build & maintain fixture libraries per project • Develop drawing sets for millworker • Support Design team in designing custom cabinetry & furniture • Support social media efforts in posting, planning, and maintaining schedule Desired Skills & Experience: • Excellent technical skills using SketchUp • Working knowledge of construction documents • Ability to read construction documents & revise design files • Advanced written skills and ability to communicate effectively • Strong work ethic • Ability to think critically, problem solve, take initiative and work independently • Rendering skills are a plus, but not required Program and Software Requirements: • Proficient in SketchUp • Experience with AutoCAD is a plus • MacOS system • Adobe Creative Suite with focus on Photoshop & Indesign • Familiar with Canva • Microsoft Office with focus on Excel & Powerpoint • Google Drive (Cloud-based file hosting and documents) • Dropbox (Cloud-based file hosting) If you think you’re the right fit, we’d love to see your work!
