Interior Design Engineer

Company Overview: We are Re:Car, a subsidiary of Re:Build Manufacturing, and we are exploring development in the electric vehicle space. Job Description: We are seeking an energetic and organized Interior Design/Release Engineer to join our growing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and developing interior components and related structures across the organization. • Develop and implement functional objectives to meet project performance targets. • Manage all aspects of interior component development to meet project requirements. • Lead collaboration between internal/external teams and suppliers to meet all project requirements. Required Skills and Qualifications: To be successful in this role, you will need: • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from an ABET accredited university. • 8+ years of vehicle design experience in the areas of interior trim including Seats, Cockpit Module, Pillar/Roof Trim, etc. • Knowledge of design considerations required for plastic/composite components. • Excellent communication and team building skills. • Broad knowledge of NHSTA/FMVSS requirements related to interior components.
