Interior Design Drafter/Design Manager in Boulder, CO Kari Whitman Interiors in Boulder, CO is looking for a mid-junior to senior level architectural drafter/design manager with strong interior design, AutoCAD and project management skills and experience in high-end commercial or residential design... As an architectural drafter/design manager, you will be involved in all phases of our projects to support our clients. a strong passion for design and excitement about the creative process is essential for this role. You should be highly proficient in AutoCAD and Google Drive, should feel confident in your abilities to create boards, drawings, and FFE's, and should be comfortable serving as a liaison with vendors and subcontractors. This is NOT a remote position—We have a collaborative environment and work together in the office in Boulder, CO (Must be willing to relocate if not local) Duties of Architectural Drafter/Design Manager : · Handling general design responsibilities like creating boards, drawings, FFE’s, etc · Some general office operations, including phones, filing, and running errands as needed · Managing client budgets and all ordering (specifications, purchase orders, shipping, etc.) · Serving as primary liaison with vendors & sub-contractors · Managing and having thorough knowledge of all items within client files like specifications, meeting notes, etc. Requirements of Architectural Drafter/Design Manager : · A degree in architecture · Extremely strong AutoCAD skills- this is non-negotiable and we do require an in-depth AutoCAD assessment prior to an offer. · Strong excel skills · 5+ years of experience working in architectural design · Self-driven worth ethic and the ability to follow through with pending items, including anticipating questions and creating solutions · Strong organizational skills- including efficiency · Ability to self-motivate and work independently · Discretion with confidential client and business information · MUST have own laptop and vehicle · MUST be willing to travel domestically and internationally (up to 30% travel may be required) · MUST love dogs and be comfortable working in a dog-friendly office Compensation for senior architectural designer: · $60,000-$85,000/year to start · Salary commensurate with experience.
