Interior Design Documentation Specialist

Job Requirements As an Interior Design Documentation Specialist, you will be responsible for interpreting architectural drawings to produce CNC code and documentation required for production and installation. This position may involve creating detailed shop drawings for submittal. Key Responsibilities: • Assess drawings to determine the starting product to be modified and create custom products in Microvellum. • Assign proper materials to products, considering thickness, board sizes, and grain/pattern directions. • Include and assign machining to parts for applicable hardware, such as hinges, pulls, drawer slides, grommets, access panels, row holes, etc. • Create organized nest drawings for machine operators. • Troubleshoot G-code and machine error codes related to CNC programs. • Collaborate with shop floor personnel on issues and manufacturing concerns, ensuring continuous product and process improvements. • Interpret architectural and interior design drawings to create 2D construction drawings using AutoCAD. • Provide complete, detailed, and accurate drawings for manufacture operations, adhering to customers' needs and applicable codes and regulations. • Prepare construction information, including drawings, cut lists, Bill of Material (BOM), for programming, machining, and assembly operations. • Develop and modify existing products from established standard specifications. • Prepare approval drawings to ensure all essential product information is signed off by the customer. • Daily reports should be sent via email to the direct Supervisor, including hours worked, updates on projects completed or outstanding, etc. • Set schedules for assignment completion with the supervisor and work to maintain the schedule.
