Skills • Minimum of one year of interior design or prior retail/sales experience • Basic mathematical skills • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills • Self-motivated with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment • Knowledge of hard surface flooring is a plus Responsibilities • Greet store customers and schedule design appointments • Provide advice on tile, wood, stone, and accessories for residential and commercial projects • Design and sell complete, functional, and aesthetically appealing solutions • Manage multiple customer projects accurately and maintain timely communication • Collaborate with store leadership and employees to support company initiatives • Engage with current and emerging design trends • Utilize design applications, including Salesforce and the proprietary Online Design Appointment Scheduler Qualifications • Minimum one year of interior design experience or prior retail/sales experience • Degree in Design is a plus Education Requirements • Degree in Design preferred Education Requirements Credential Category • Associate’s Degree or higher in Design or related field recommended Experience Requirements • At least one year of experience in a design consultant position for internal candidates Why work in Albany, NY Albany, NY offers a rich blend of history, culture, and community.
