Description Robert Half is looking for an Interior Design Associate to join a growing design team of commercial real estate investment firm... Summary The Interior Design Associate will report to the Director of Interior Design and be responsible for supporting all phases of design ensuring service, execution, and design integrity standards are upheld to each portfolio and market. Responsibilities • Design Services: Space Planning, Schematic Design, Design Development, Construction Document Review, and Project Administration. • Project Management: Utilize departmental and consulting resources to successfully track, manage, and execute design projects for commercial office spaces. Provide design support various projects including: capital improvement, corporate, development, re-development, etc. • Records Management: Document and maintain accurate as-built/as-existing information and building plans to effectively execute design project. Record and maintain all design drawings, enhancements, measurements, and blueprints. • Strategic Planning: Participate in the execution of strategies to support tenant leasing activities or tenant office space improvements. Incorporate sustainability strategies into each project and continually strive to improve the overall quality of the customer’s experience. Requirements • 3-5 years of professional interior design, architecture, and/or space planning experience for commercial office spaces. • Bachelor/Master’s Degree in Interior Design or Architecture from a CIDA or NAAB accredited program. • Strong technical skills and experience using AutoCAD and Revit is required. • Experience with Kahua is a plus; Ability to work with additional design/graphic programs such as Sketch-Up, Adobe Creative Suite, PDF Editor, etc. • Knowledge and or experience with Building Owners Management Association (BOMA) square foot standard application is a plus. • Reliable transportation and ability to travel within DMV area to inspect building interiors is required.
