Our dynamic design firm is seeking a talented and experienced Senior Interior Designer to join our team on a free lance basis. This position offers the opportunity to work remotely; however, the individual must be based in the Los Angeles area and have access to a car for weekly client meetings and team gatherings.
Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and talented Senior Interior Designer to join our dynamic team on a part-time basis. In this role, you will use your exceptional design skills and expertise to contribute to the development of innovative and visually stunning interior spaces.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with clients to understand their design needs and preferences, translating them into cohesive and functional interior design concepts.
- Utilize various design software, including AutoCAD, Photoshop, Canva, SketchUp, and Revit, to create detailed plans, renderings, and presentations. A thorough and advance knowledge of using CAD is necessary as well as creating shop drawings, construction drawings, 3d renderings, FF&E charts and presentations
- Source and select appropriate furniture, fixtures, finishes, and accessories that align with the client's vision and budget.
- Coordinate with project managers, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure the successful execution of design plans.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends, materials, and best practices in interior design.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior designers, as needed.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 3 years of experience working as an interior designer with other design firms.
- Extensive knowledge and proficiency in using AutoCAD, Photoshop, Canva, SketchUp, and Revit.
- Strong technical skills in space planning, color theory, and materials selection.
- Excellent communication and client-facing skills to effectively present design ideas.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Proactive problem-solving skills and a great team ethic.
- Bachelor's degree in Interior Design or a related field.
- Passion for creating innovative and functional interior design solutions.
