We work on a range of both residential and commercial projects, from design consultations to whole home remodels and new build/construction projects. About the job:
We are looking for an Interior Design Associate to join our fast-growing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in design, be self-motivated, and be able to work independently. The candidate will work closely with founder and principal designer, Kim Dee, supporting design, business process development and execution, project coordination and oversight, and client delivery.
Responsibilities:
The perfect candidate will take on a supportive role, proactively identifying and supporting business process opportunities and working with various partners/trades to assist in the delivery and execution of all phases of a project from design development to installation This individual will deal with the full range of design from layout and concept development, to execution of design, and will have a focus on overseeing active client projects to manage deliverables and ensure on track through all phases of the process to execution, balancing optimization of efficiency and delivering on a stellar client experience.
At this time, this position is part-time/contract role, (between 10 to 20 hours/week). Opportunity for growth, extended hours, and permanent role in the future.
Responsibilities include:
• Support design projects from concept to completion
• Track and manage project progress, overseeing execution and coordinating with general contractors and trades. Manage and oversee timelines and deliverables for active projects and coordinate follow up/action as needed to ensure projects are on track to established schedule.
• Communicate with Design Team on project updates.
• Interpret and translate customer needs into rough plans and concept boards
• Research and recommend materials and product sourcing
• Produce floor plan layouts in AutoCad and/or SketchUp
• Create Design Boards, tear sheets and purchase sheets
• Work closely with KDD team, trades, materials suppliers, and contractors
• Research and follow industry changes, evolution and best practices. Create and maintain a comprehensive design portfolio.
• Social media savvy with the ability to create and post content, including videos.
Qualifications:
• Ability to work both in-person and remotely, engaging in face-to-face client interactions. Availability on weekends and ease of commuting to Northeast Mesa.
• Strong, clear and service-oriented communication and presentation skills
• Must have the ability to multitask and work on multiple projects simultaneously
• Strong organizational skills; must be able to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
• Self-directed and able to work with high level of autonomy.
• Demonstrate initiative and confidence in executing tasks promptly.
• Project Management Skills
• Strong interpersonal skills for effective client and team communication.
• Passion for design and fashion, coupled with an upbeat and motivated personality.
• Collaborate with marketing efforts and network with vendors.
• Act as a go-getter, demonstrating a proactive approach to responsibilities.
• Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design or equivalent experience (Preferred)
• Proficient in AutoCAD, Photoshop, and SketchUp (Preferred)
• Experience working in Houzz Pro (Preferred)
Job Types: Part-time, Contract
