Interior Design Assistant and Draftsperson

Job Overview We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Interior Designer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of design principles and a passion for transforming spaces into functional and aesthetically pleasing environments. You will work closely with clients to understand their needs and preferences, while managing projects from concept through completion. Duties • Develop detailed design concepts using software tools such as SketchUp, AutoCAD, Design Live, Microsoft Publisher and Revit. • Create visual presentations and mood boards to effectively communicate design ideas. • Prepare detailed drawings, specifications, and schedules for construction and renovation projects. • Stay updated on industry trends, materials, and technologies to provide innovative solutions. • Utilize color theory and lighting design principles to enhance the overall aesthetic of spaces. Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design or a related field is preferred. • Proficiency in design software including Sketchup, Design Live, Microsoft Publisher and AutoCAD is essential. • Strong project management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously. • Knowledge of drafting techniques and construction processes is required. • Familiarity with contracts, budgeting, sales strategies, renovation practices, and lighting sales is advantageous. • Excellent communication skills with the ability to present ideas clearly and persuasively. • A keen eye for detail along with a strong sense of aesthetics and functionality in design solutions.
