Interior Design Assistant - Model Merchandising

Job Title: Design Assistant – Model Merchandising Studio Unscripted Interior Design, a nationally recognized Interior Design Firm, with offices in Southwest Denver, CO and Santa Ana, CA is looking to grow the CO Model Merchandising Design Studio with the following position: Job Description: Design Position that is entry level and supports their design team. Job requires assisting Senior Designer and Designer with tasks to learn and assist in design and process. Required to work in a team environment. Job Duties include but may not be limited to: • Support Design staff on several concurrent projects • Assist in design scheme compilation and presentation selections • Coordinate with Fabricators, Vendors and Sub-contractors • Assist with interior furnishings and accessories • Travel to various out of state job sites for installation and set-up • Inventory and document materials provided Position Requirements: • Bachelor’s Degree in Interior Design or related field • Outstanding skills in concept development, space planning, selections of color & materials, custom fabrication/ millwork detailing and specifications. · Understands and can read drawings including floor plans, reflected ceiling plans, and elevations · Strong design sense · Organized and detailed oriented · Proficiency in AutoCAD, Microsoft Office Suite, Procurement Software Platforms • Ability to travel. Travel schedule can fluctuate but possible minimum two times per month; two to four days per trip • Ability to work in a team environment with good collaboration skills • Professional Demeanor • Strong ability to multi-task • High level of organizational skills and attention to detail Candidates should be prepared to present a portfolio of work GENEROUS COMPENSATION PACKAGE INCLUDES: Health, Dental and Vision Insurance (no cost to employee), STD, LTD, Life, 401(k) plan, Three weeks PTO, paid Holidays (varies per year).
