About this role

Interior Design Associates, a downtown Nashville award-winning interior design firm, is looking for a self-motivated and technically-proficient Interior Design Assistant for our Finishes and FF&E group. This will be an hourly, entry-level position with the potential of turning into a salaried position depending on the chosen candidate's work performance. The chosen candidate will work with our staff interior designers to perform the following tasks: • Assist with preparation for client presentations by ordering finish and fabric samples, and daily expediting of those orders to ensure the samples arrive prior to the presentation date. • Create and edit large-scale PowerPoint and PDF files that accompany concept, design, furniture, and artwork presentations. • Communicate with manufacturers / sales reps to request product information (i.e. detailed specs, pricing, stock, etc.) • CAD drawing production and editing work inclusive of furniture plans, finish plans, extents of floor finish plans, and finish schedules. • Select and make reselections for FF&E as needed. • Assist with FF&E specifications. • Other design-related tasks as they arise on a daily basis Candidates must meet the following requirements for consideration of being interviewed: • Must reside in the United States and be authorized to work in the United States • Minimum of Bachelors Degree in Interior Design • Proficient in AutoCAD and Revit, release 2020 or higher, and currently working with AutoCAD and Revit. • Proficient with the Office suite of programs (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint • Candidate should be highly creative and have strong design skills with finishes, fabrics, and furniture (can be shown through your portfolio) • Strong communication skills in both verbal and written format • Strong organizational and time management skills, and ability to work well under pressure (i.e. must be a multi-tasker) • Must have positive / friendly attitude and be team-oriented Applications and resumes should be submitted through ZipRecruiter only by the applicant.
