Interior Design Assistant

Job Overview We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Interior Design Assistant to join our design team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for transforming spaces and a strong understanding of design principles. This role involves collaborating with clients and their lead designer to create functional and aesthetically pleasing environments that meet the specific needs and principals. The Interior Design assistant will utilize various design software and tools to assist their lead designers ensuring that projects are completed on time with a cohesive design. Requirements and Responsibilities: • Collaborate with clients and lead designer to understand their vision, preferences, and requirements for interior spaces. • Develop design concepts that incorporate color theory, lighting design, and spatial planning. • Utilize software such as Adobe, Sketchup, or CAD to create detailed design plans and presentations. • Select appropriate materials, furnishings, and fixtures that align with the project goals and budget. • Coordinate with contractors, vendors, and other professionals to ensure successful project execution. • Conduct site visits to assess progress, address any issues, and ensure adherence to design specifications. • Stay updated on industry trends, materials, and technologies to provide innovative solutions for clients. • Assist in lighting sales by recommending suitable lighting solutions for various spaces. Experience • Proven experience in interior design or a related field is preferred. • Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Creative Suite, Sketchup, or CAD is essential. • Ability to create precise invoices for projects • Strong understanding of color theory and lighting design principles. • Excellent communication skills with the ability to present ideas clearly to clients. • A background in sales or lighting sales is a plus but not mandatory. • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment while managing multiple projects simultaneously is a must.
