Role: Interior Design Assistant Type: Contract Work Location: Parsippany, NJ (Onsite) Contract Duration: 12 months Hourly Pay Rate: $25 W2 35 hrs. per week. Onsite, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. Remote on Monday and Friday. Interviews will be in person. Key Skills: • Must have hospitality design experience: 1-2 years • Hospitality experience a huge plus and preferred • Role not doing design work. It's a supportive role, supporting designers. Summary Description: The ID Assistant will be assisting the Renovation team answering Franchisee questions and reviewing design packages. They may also need to assist in writing Property Improvement Plans for Architectural renovations from time to time, depending on needs. Timely response is critical for this role and taking initiative is a key to the overall success of this function. Essential Job Functions: • Reviewing Interior Design for Super 8, Days Inn, Ramada, Microtel, Wingate, La Quinta, Hawthorn, Howard Johnson, Travelodge. Requirements: • Bachelor's Degree in Interior Design form a FIDER or CIDA accredited program or equivalent. • 1-2 years hospitality design experience. • Knows AutoCAD, Revit, Photoshop, PowerPoint, Bluebeam, InDesign, Excel • SPEXX software knowledge is a plus, but not required. • PIP Writer is a plus, but not required. • Confident public speaker comfortable interacting with Franchise hotel owners. • Experience preparing design presentations, design mood boards, reviewing shop drawing submittals.
