Job Description As our Design Assistant, you will support the design team in executing various design projects. You will collaborate closely with the team members to ensure the timely delivery of work that aligns with our BMID standards. • Coordinate and collaborate with design team • Assist Design Associates and Principal Designer in the development and execution of tasks • Assist Design Associates with construction documents (AutoCAD drawings, spec sheets, etc.) • Help in the selection of furniture, fabrics, colors, and accessories. • Communicate project expectations with team members. • Keep Resource Room organized and up to date with latest materials. • Support the growth of the organization. • Contribute to the team culture and overall goals. Qualifications • Bachelors of Interior Design in CIDA accredited program • Creative residential design experience, high end residential is a plus. • Proficiency of AutoCAD is required, SketchUp is a plus. • Ability to use Apple softwares. • Ability to organize, plan projects and maintain strong attention to detail • Ability to take initiative and be a team player • Exhibits a strong work ethic and maintains a positive attitude • Project Management Skills, with ability to multi-task projects. • Takes pride in accuracy of the details of their work • Strong verbal and written communication skills • Must be able to feel comfortable in a fast paced, and at sometimes stressful, environment.
