Interior Design Assistant

At Eclectic Home we believe in the power of design to change the world. We’re looking for a talented and passionate design assistant to join our team and help us create beautiful and impactful work. As a design assistant, you will be responsible for supporting the design team in all stages of the design process, from research and concept development to production and delivery. Coordinating with contractors and vendors, site visits, and assisting with installation of finished designs. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in design, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to multitask and work well under pressure. Duties and responsibilities; • Assist the design team in all stages of the design process, from concept development to final production • gather client requirements, create design concepts, plan floor layouts, and collaborate with other team members • Research trends, fabrics, and color palettes to contribute to the design process • Create mood boards, sketches, and illustrations to communicate design concepts • Assist with sourcing materials, and maintaining an up-to-date knowledge of suppliers • Maintain accurate records of all design development activities, including samples, swatches, and line sheets • Prepare presentations and reports as needed for internal and external meetings • Manage day-to-day administrative tasks associated with the design department, such as scheduling, ordering supplies, and maintaining files • Handle customer inquiries and requests in a professional and efficient manner • Anticipate needs and take initiative to solve problems as they arise • Perform all other duties as assigned Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design or Architecture • 1-2 years’ experience • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign) • Proficient in AutoCad • Proficient SketchUp • Excellent sketching ability • Strong attention to detail • Excellent communication and organizational skills • Ability to multitask and work well under pressure If you are a creative individual with a passion for interior design and a strong attention to detail, we would love to hear from you.
