Kate Taylor Interiors, LTD. is a full service, high-end residential, interior design firm operating from the heart of Chicago, while servicing clients all over the country. KTI is seeking a full time Design Assistant. Requirements... Bachelor’s Degree in Interior Design/Interior Architecture or related field 1+ years experience at a high-end residential design firm Familiar with AutoCAD and Studio Designer Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) Strong communication and project management skills – ability to consistently move projects towards the finish line Ability to meet deadlines, problem solve, and adapt to changing project needs Strong presentation skills - prepare client presentations for meetings Strong knowledge of vendors and vendor price points Self-motivated with strong time management skills to successfully work on multiple projects Create proposals, purchase orders, and process approved orders Project tracking and communication with warehouse to ensure items are shipped and received Schedule and attend final client installations Create finish schedules to share with vendors, architects, and builders Attend client meetings, take detailed notes, and communicate meeting notes effectively with team Travel required Driver’s license and access to car required Compensation and Benefits: Competitive salary based on experience Paid Vacation and Holidays 401K retirement plan with a company match Job Type: Full-time Benefits: • 401(k) • 401(k) matching • Paid time off • Retirement plan Schedule: • Monday to Friday Education: • Bachelor's (Preferred) Experience: • AutoCAD: 1 year (Required) • Studio Designer: 1 year (Required) • Residential Interior Design: 1 year (Required) Work Location: In person
