Interior Design Assistant

Job Description: High end, full-service boutique residential interior design firm seeking a talented and motivated Interior Designer/Assistant to the Principal designer. In this role, you will work independently as well as closely alongside Principal designer and be involved in all aspects of the design process. The position is based in Westchester, NY and a hybrid setup of 1-2 days of working... from home is possible. We are looking for a passionate detail-oriented creative who is efficient at juggling multiple projects. Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to: o Drawing furniture layouts in AutoCAD o Creating presentations for client meetings o Sourcing and assembling schemes with fabric, furniture, lighting, wallpaper, rugs, etc. o Obtaining quotes and creating purchase orders o Maintaining communication with vendors o Scheduling deliveries and overseeing installations Requirements: o Strong proficiency in AutoCAD, Photoshop, and Microsoft Office o Minimum of 2 years of experience in interior design o Highly organized with strong attention to detail o Strong verbal, written and organizational skills o Motivated and proactive approach to work o Ability to work 25-35 hours per week o Must be willing to spend 2-3 days per week in Westchester, NY, local travel required Salary: $25-$35 per hour, commensurate with experience, independent contractor
