Responsibilities Hand Drafting and CAD: • Proficient in hand drafting with knowledge of CAD. • Able to perform space planning effectively. Interior Design Skills • Understanding of architectural detailing and proficient plan reading. • Skilled in furniture and accessory placement. • Experience in shopping independently for diverse projects. • Ability to define design style and ambiance effectively. Project Coordination • Ensuring functionality and feel of designed spaces. • Knowledge of marketing statement/lifestyle elements. • Familiarity with paperwork, budget guidelines, and project processes. • Collaboration with vendors and sub-contractors. • Strong follow-through, decision-making, and communication skills. Additional Responsibilities • Ability to assist with fabric, wallpaper, and furniture reselections promptly. • Communication of customer service issues to the relevant representative. • Assisting with window treatment design and calculations in both Builder and Residential Departments. Supervision Reports to Staff or Senior Designer. May receive oversight from a Junior Designer.
