Interior Design Assistant

Job Description: Design Assistant Location: Concord, MA... Full-time Meredith Rodday Design (MRD) is a boutique residential interior design firm located in Concord, MA specializing in clean, sophisticated, and livable design. We have a wide array of projects including new construction, full renovations, additions, and interiors work. The Design Assistant position at MRD is vital to the success of our business. This position is full-time, in-person, and supports the daily operations of a busy and energetic design team. Responsibilities include but not limited to: • Support daily activities of the design team • Schedule appointments such as client meetings, installs, measures, etc. • Maintain order tracking spreadsheet and update clients on regular basis • Obtain pricing from vendors • Manage claims process • Manage client, vendor, and product data in our design management software • Coordinate deliveries • Sample library organization • Errands - client drop offs/pickups, etc. • Stock checks • Photoshoot assistance • Other responsibilities as assigned Requirements: • Must have access to reliable transportation and ability to frequently travel around Metrowest & Boston areas • 2-3 years of experience in the design field and a strong interest in interior design • Resourceful and driven self-starter • Extremely detail oriented • Clear, concise, and professional communication skills • Proficiency with excel and online systems • Previous experience in a professional, fast paced environment • Friendly, positive, can-do attitude • Bachelor’s degree Job Type: Full-time Pay: $48,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year Benefits: • Health insurance • Paid time off • Professional development assistance Schedule: • 8 hour shift • Monday to Friday Ability to Commute: • Concord, MA 01742 (Required) Ability to Relocate: • Concord, MA 01742: Relocate before starting work (Required) Work Location: In person
