Interior Design Assistant

This position is an Interior Design Assistant that works directly with Junior and Senior Designers. The day to day tasks vary based on the needs and priorities of the day. Daily duties would include, but are not limited to the following: · Resource library management procedures... · New resource/presentation material procedures · Online research for products per Designer needs · Create Powerpoint presentations as requested by Designers · Support Designers at client meetings, project installations, etc. for the purpose of assistance, observation and note taking · Designer support in selecting and actual design process · Maintain marketing materials · Stock and price checks for reserves (fabric and furniture) · Follow-up on reserves from order to expiration · Ordering fabrics and furniture and follow through from order inception to completion and arrival · Learn to use the design software for tasks as requested by the Designers and administration · ASID Awards Entries · Some administrative duties such as filing, phones, etc. It is required that this individual be a graduate in Interior Design. Must be highly proficient in AutoCAD. Applicants must be highly motivated with strong communication and problem-solving skills and have a strong design capability within a team-oriented environment.
