We are currently seeking a skilled and passionate Interior Design Assistant to join our team and work closely with our lead designer. Position: Interior Design Assistant Company: Megan Paterson Interiors Location: Cumming, Georgia Employment Type: Full-time/Hybrid Remote Responsibilities: Collaborate with the lead designer to develop and refine design concepts for kitchen and bathroom remodel projects. Assist with creating detailed drawings, renderings, and presentations to effectively communicate design ideas to clients. Research and source materials, fixtures, furnishings, and finishes that align with project requirements and design vision. Support in the coordination and management of project timelines, budgets, and resources. Assist lead designer at client consultations with note-taking and measurements to ensure accurate documentation and project implementation. Assist lead designer with various admin duties such as client communication, client invoicing, etc. Stay updated with the latest trends and advancements in interior design, specifically related to kitchen and bathroom design. Some social media customer service/anwsering DM's and follower questions Assisting with staging and set-up on photoshoot days Requirements: Degree in Interior Design or a related field or equvilant experience is preferred Prior experience working in an interior design firm or a similar role is preferred. Proficiency in industry-standard design software such as Canva, ProCreate, Chief Architect/CAD, etc. Strong visual and spatial awareness, with a keen eye for detail and aesthetics. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively interact with clients, vendors, contractors, etc. Ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and work efficiently. Understanding of construction processes, building codes, and regulations is an asset. Knowledge of sustainable design practices and materials is a plus. Knowledge of kitchen and bathroom design, cabinet design, appliances, etc. is a plus.
