Interior Design Assistant

The Interior Design Intern is to support the design team. Assists lead designer on the conceptual and schematic design, administration and procurement of projects and while maintaining miscellaneous office work and organizational duties. Description... Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Assist with specification of design elements Assist with presentation materials as needed Assist with CAD work as needed Assist with social media Assists with procurement and installations as needed Assists with miscellaneous projects tasks as needed such as errands, shipping, procurement, etc. Delivers materials for shipment, purchases and returns Log shipping/receiving for goods Maintain project drawers and update with current samples Maintain Materials Library and update with current samples Answer Phones and check our general email box daily and consistently Skills & Specifications: Proficient in computer programs such as Google Suite , Adobe Photoshop, Sketch-Up, AutoCAD. Excellent design organizational skills Excellent sketching and drawing skills or demonstrate an excellence in visually expressing their ideas. Able to work independently and with a team simultaneously Capable of multitasking and able to initiate solutions to both design and office challenges along with asking “what’s next” upon completion of tasks. Ability to meet deadlines in timely manner Maintain positive attitude while wearing many hats Excellent Customer Service Great communication skills and the ability to work and follow up via phone calls. This is a full-time position Primary hours are normal business hours, Monday through Friday. At times, evening and weekend availability may be required. Candidate Requirement: Position is open to students currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree. Knowledge of furniture periods and Architectural Styles with excellent color sense Proficient in AutoCAD, Photoshop and Google Suite & SketchUp is a plus.
