About this role

We are seeking a Design Assistant to join our team. Candidate must be self-motivated, organized, and team oriented. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following... Maintenance of Resource Library: • Organize and maintain the resource library. • Catalog all materials accurately for easy reference. Sourcing New Products: • Identify and source new products suitable for projects or library reference. • Stay updated on industry trends and innovations. Vendor Relations: • Schedule and attend all vendor presentations alongside designers. • Foster positive relationships with vendors to enhance product sourcing. Database Management: • Maintain various databases including client, vendor, out-of-state resources, and shopping lists. • Ensure data accuracy and update information as needed. Sample Management: • Order samples and memos as required by designers. • Assist in organizing and managing sample inventory. Design Support: • Enter design finishes into Excel schedules accurately. • Assist in creating finish binders for designers and clients. • Support in setting up and cleaning up client presentations. • Assist design team with site measures as necessary. • Provide assistance in final installations when required. • Complete interior design work with the guidance of a senior designer. Skills and Qualifications: • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suites, and Excel, Auto CAD, Bluebeam • Degree in Interior Design or a related field preferred • Previous experience in a design-related role preferred. • Knowledge of design principles and materials. • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. • Ability to multitask and prioritize workload effectively. • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines. • Willingness to learn and grow within the role.
