Kelly Wilhite Interior Design is a full service Interior Design Firm founded in Spring 2021 by owner and Principal Licensed Interior Designer Kelly Wilhite. KWID focuses on new construction, renovation, and furnishing residential design projects as well as select commercial design projects in the central Florida area. KWID’s office is located in the heart of Winter Park walking distance from the... shops and businesses of Park Avenue. KWID is looking for a motivated, organized, and creative designer to join their team. Our new team member will have the opportunity to work side by side with lead designer, Kelly Wilhite. This is a dynamic position that will give the designer the opportunity to be a part of all aspects of an interior design project. KWID is very excited to expand their team and grow with this new designer. Responsibilities • Source compelling initial options for furniture, fabrics, construction fixtures, and finishes for client design projects • Create and format organized and visually appealing power point design presentations to clearly communicate design options to clients • Document detailed notes regarding client design decisions during meetings and presentations • Organizing client samples and binders to keep design decisions documented and organized. • Communicating with vendors and tracking furniture orders • Assisting in drawing in AutoCAD to communicate designs to contractor for interior design construction details, millwork details, tile drawings, and furniture layouts • Multitask while working on multiple design projects at once and keeping details and timelines separate and organized • Display incredible attention to detail and assist in double checking all design documentation to ensure accuracy of orders and construction • Utilizing social media to engage with the community and share the companys portfolio Skills and qualifications • Excellent design abilities and creativity required • Proficiency in AutoCAD required • Proficient with Microsoft powerpoint and excel • Capable with image editing software such as Photoshop • Project management experience preferred • Ability to stay organized and focused on long projects • Strong communication skills • Superb organizational and time-management processes • Interior Design degree preferred The ideal candidate for this position is someone looking to work anywhere from 20 - 40 hours a week. A minimum of 20 scheduled hours in office and/or jobsites each week is requested with flexibility in the remainder of the hours and options for remote work.
