LCR Interiors is seeking a full-time Interior Design Assistant to provide administrative and clerical support to our team of Interior Designers, support customers in the design studio and retail boutique.The Interior Design Assistant's tasks include preparing documents, updating client databases, taking phone calls, handling correspondence, organizing meetings, estimating project costs, helping source products, etc., supporting customers and handling retail sales. The Interior Design Assistant should highlight interior design familiarity, creativity, telephone etiquette, attention to details, customer service orientation, and multitasking. The Interior Design Asstant performs creative duties under the supervision of an Interior Designer and also communicates with clients to arrange meetings and consultations with the Designer. Interior Design Assistant Responsibilities: • Assist Interior Designers. • Work with Designers for coordination and meetings. • Liaise with shipping, moving and storage companies. • Prepare project budgets and schedules. • Research and Source materials, lighting, fabrics and furniture. • Prepare 2D and 3D plans for presentation. • Collaborate with contractors on scheduling, deliveries and installations. • Process Purchase Orders and follow them through to completion. Requirements: • Bachelor's degree in Interior Design or related field, or • Two years of solid working experience in decorating interior spaces (consultations, renovations, space planning and new constructions.) Preferred skills: • Experience in layout, color, lighting, materials selection, custom furniture and all installations • Experience in AutoCAD, SketchUp, 3D Max, Illustrator or other design programs helpful but not required. • Creative talent, imagination and eye for design • Excellent customer service, communication and presentation skills. • Project management skills. • Experience in retails sales a plus
