Interior Design Assistant / Junior Interior Designer (DOE)

Independent interior designer specializing in mid to high-end residential interior design has an opening for a capable, energetic, and responsible interior design assistant or junior interior designer with a good design education and, preferably, industry experience. Starting position depends on education and experience. Ideal candidates will be personable, logical, articulate, self-motivated, and able to multi-task while maintaining accuracy and organization. Must work well as part of a team and able maintain positive relationships with external partners. As a design assistant / junior interior designer assist you will assist with all phases of the design process from concept to construction administration and installation. Working closely with the principal, candidates must be ready to take on any task, big or small. This is an opportunity to learn many aspects of the design and business field. You must be flexible and quick on your toes! I believe in a collaborative process. I am more than willing to teach, but I want you to bring your own ideas to the table as well. Generally flexible schedule. Opportunity to work remotely when possible, combined with some on site project meetings, as well as partnering with principal in a home office environment located in Cumberland Foreside, Maine. Must have a car and driver's license in good standing. (Mileage is reimbursed at IRS standard rates.) Compensation commensurate with experience.
