Nandina Home & Design is seeking an intelligent, detail-oriented, and dynamic individual to serve as a design assistant in our Greenville, SC, location. This person must be reliable, focused, and self-directed with a high level of initiative. A successful candidate will be open to feedback, collaborative, highly resourceful, a natural problem solver, and a quick learner. This person must be able to work both independently and cooperatively in a fast-paced environment. This role will require delivery of outstanding customer service to high-end clients, positive, professional, and concise communication and presentation skills, both verbal and written, are a must. This role requires someone very comfortable working with numbers (pricing, calculating percentages, entering product SKUs, etc.) and with close attention to detail. Strong time management skills and experience managing multiple projects simultaneously are required. This position will perform duties in direct support of the lead designer by assisting as follows: Responsibilities: Assist the Designer with design projects from start to finish, including initial meeting notes, selection of product, creating visual presentations, product purchasing, and follow-up, as well as project installation and implementationOrder samples for projects, maintain client files, and prepare written client correspondence as requiredInput all product details efficiently and accuratelyPrepare client proposals and corresponding invoicesPrepare purchase orders for the product being ordered. Effectively track, monitor, and update the timing and delivery of these ordersHelp coordinate and plan client deliveries and installationsProficiency in design programs, like CAD and SketchUp, is preferred, as many projects require working directly with architects, contractors, and buildersMust have a willingness to handle many behind-the-scenes tasks, such as unpacking orders as they arrive, taking out trash, cleaning up the design workspace, putting resources away, and packing up before installs/deliveries, as well as cleaning and unpacking post-install/deliveryRequirements: Bachelor's Degree in an interior design-related field of study requiredPrior experience in the Interior Design industry is preferredAt least 2 years’ experience in an administrative assistant-related roleHigh proficiency in MS Office products, including MS Word and PowerPointKnowledge of Rayon Design, Evernote, and Design Manager preferredAdditional working knowledge of SketchUp and CAD is a plusMust possess a demonstrated ability to meet deadlines consistentlyCompensation: Job Type: Full-time (40 hours/week, Monday-Friday)Pay: $42-48,000, based on experienceHealth Insurance availableHoliday and vacation payJob Type: Full-time Benefits: Health insurancePaid time offEducation: Bachelor's (Required)Experience: Design Assistant: 1 year (Preferred)Work Location: In person
