Interior Design Assistant

Melissa Hoffmann Interiors, LLC is seeking a skilled, professional, and detail-oriented Design Assistant to support our growing, high-end interior design firm. We specialize in luxury interior design and remodeling projects throughout Hampton Roads and beyond. This role is best suited for someone who enjoys supporting a creative team, staying organized, and helping projects run smoothly behind the scenes. Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Provide day-to-day support to the lead designer and teamPrepare and organize samples and project presentation materialsCommunicate with vendors, contractors, and clients in a professional and customer-focused mannerTrack orders, deliveries, and basic project detailsHelp maintain organized project files and documentation, including client-facing documentsRun occasional errands to vendors or job sitesAssist with on-site visits as neededAdapt to shifting priorities and assist with resolving minor issues as they ariseOther duties as assignedRequirements Strong oral and written communication skillsCustomer service experience or strong interpersonal skills preferredAbility to professionally interact with vendors, contractors, and clientsHighly organized with strong attention to detailProficient and comfortable using a computer and digital toolsPositive attitude and team-oriented mindsetWillingness to take direction and support the team where neededValid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and clean background checkOccasional nights or weekends during project installationsOccasional travel for project installationsHigh School Diploma or equivalentPhysical Requirements Ability to view a computer screen for extended periodsAbility to sit or stand for long durationsBending, stooping, and lifting (up to 50 lbs)Ability to walk on uneven surfaces in various weather conditionsWork Environment Work is performed in a combination of office and remote settings. Travel to job sites and vendor locations is required, with potential exposure to outdoor elements throughout the year.
