Interior Design Assistant

Graceland Design Studio, a full-service interior design firm located in Asheville, North Carolina, is seeking a part-time Design Assistant who will support our small design team in our downtown office and on job sites around the region. Though largely administrative in nature, this is a hands-on position with the opportunity to participate in the interior design process. We are looking for an independent problem solver with a sense of humor and a desire to learn. We welcome interior design students and those with a passion for the field to apply. This job is an hourly, part-time, contracted position with a flexible schedule consisting of approximately 20 hours a week - Pay starts at $30 per hour with paid educational opportunities and other benefits - Prior experience in an administrative role, preferably in an interior design firm or home business - Proficiency in Google Docs. Canva and Studio Designer - Familiarity with Sketch-up or AutoCad software - Ability to work independently and collaboratively as a team in an office - Ability to assist with scheduling, procurement and meeting prep - Must be able to move things - Valid driver’s license Qualities: Detail oriented Exceptional organizational skills Positive demeanor with an ability to see the big picture Strong ability to multitask Ability to collaborate well with others Polished verbal and written communications skills Pay: $30.00 per hour Benefits: • Flexible schedule • Tuition reimbursement Work Location: In person
