Interior Design Assistant

Interior Design Assistant (Part-Time) – Philadelphia Michele Plachter Design is seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented Interior Design Assistant to support our growing studio. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys both the technical and creative sides of design and thrives in a fast-paced, high-end residential environment. You’ll work closely with the Principal Designer to support projects from concept through installation. Position Details • Part-time, 2-3 days per week (in-person at our Philadelphia studio) • Hybrid opportunity after trial period • Compensation commensurate with experience Key Responsibilities • Produce and revise AutoCAD drawings (floor plans, elevations, details) • Create and maintain specifications, finish schedules, and documentation • Assist with sourcing, selections, and presentations • Coordinate with vendors, track orders, and manage lead times • Organize project files, samples, and studio materials • Support multiple high-end residential projects through execution Qualifications • Proficiency in AutoCAD required • SketchUp/rendering experience preferred • Strong skills in Word, Excel, and Canva • Excellent organization and attention to detail • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines • Clear, professional communication About Michele Plachter Design Michele Plachter Design is a Philadelphia- and Fort Lauderdale-based interior design firm specializing in full-service, high-end residential design for new construction and large-scale renovations.
