Interior Design Assistant

Overview We are a small, fast-paced interior design studio specializing in hospitality and boutique commercial projects. We are looking for a talented Design Assistant with a strong foundation in design documentation and a passion for hospitality interiors. This role is ideal for someone who is organized, detail-oriented, strong sense of personal style, and eager to grow within the field. Responsibilities • Assist with design development for hospitality and commercial projects • Produce and update drawings in AutoCAD (plans, elevations, details) • Support FF&E sourcing, pricing, and specification • Organize samples, finish boards, and presentation materials • Assist with preparing client presentations • Coordinate with vendors and reps for product information • Maintain project files, documentation, and design libraries • Support site surveys, project measurements, and photo documentation (as needed) Skills • 1–3+ years of experience in interior design or related field (internships acceptable) • Experience with CAD drafting, construction documentation, and contract review processes. • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop) required • Familiarity with hospitality or commercial project types is a plus • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks • Portfolio demonstrating drafting, design thinking, and documentation skills • Strong understanding of interior design principles including color theory, lighting design, and remodeling techniques. • Knowledge of project management practices such as scheduling, budgeting, and vendor coordination. • Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications accurately while maintaining attention to detail. • Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members, clients, contractors, and suppliers.
