TEW Design Studio is a dynamic and creative interior design firm known for thoughtful, innovative, and client-centered work. We are seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Interior Design Assistant to join our talented and collaborative design team. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys both creative tasks and organizational responsibilities in a fast-paced studio environment.
Responsibilities
• Provide administrative and clerical support to lead designers.
• Prepare documents, update client databases, handle phone calls, and manage correspondence.
• Greet clients and organize meetings, ensuring smooth daily operations.
• Assist with estimating project costs and sourcing products.
• Help create and modify floor plans, elevations, renderings, and technical design documents.
• Manage and maintain our sample library.
• Receive, inspect, and organize packages; maintain warehouse and inventory organization.
• Conduct site visits to take measurements, document progress, and support installation days.
• Coordinate with fabricators, contractors, and trades as needed
• Help manage studio organization, scheduling, and internal workflows
• Proof proposals, specifications, and drawings for accuracy and consistency
• Contribute to a collaborative and positive studio environment while upholding brand standards
Qualifications
• Degree in Interior Design or related field preferred
• Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Microsoft office
• Strong attention to detail and willingness to take initiative
• Excellent communication and time management skills
• Ability to balance multiple projects and deadlines
• Professional demeanor with a client centered approach
• Comfort with both creative and administrative tasks
Soft Skills
• Highly organized and proactive.
• Strong problem-solving abilities.
• Effective time-management skills.
• Positive attitude and professional demeanor, especially around clients.
Schedule
Full-time: Monday–Friday, 9 AM–5 PM
In-office position (not remote)
