Required Skills & Experience
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture from a NAAB-accredited program
• Minimum 5 years of architectural design experience, including new construction and renovation projects focused on code compliance (architectural principles, sustainable design practices, and applicable codes and standards (e.g., IBC, Life Safety Code))
• Interior Design Experience - space planning, finishes, furnishings, and human-centered design
• Familiarity with project design tools including AutoCAD and/or REVIT, Microsoft Office, and electrical engineering software
• Familiarity with DoD and Navy design standards, NAVFAC guidelines, and related specifications
Job Description
An employer in the Jacksonville area is looking for an architect with interior design experience to join their team! This individual will be joining a team to provide advisory and assistance services that support the engineering and construction of onsite military infrastructure.
Their daily tasks will inlclude:
• Support military construction (MILCON), demolition, renovations, space utilization, and facilities development initiatives
• Collaborate across disciplines to ensure fully integrated design solutions
• Review and provide feedback on third-party designs, ensuring they align with program goals, sustainable practices, and code compliance
• Evaluate plans, drawings, and cost estimates - space planning, finishes, furnishings, and human-centered design
Salary Range: $125,000 - $135,000 based off qualifications, years of experience, and education
