About this role
Position Summary
We are looking for a detail-oriented, design-focused Furniture Specialist to enhance our interior design team serving multifamily developments nationwide. In this role, you will be responsible for creating well-curated, durable, and aesthetically advanced furniture solutions for leasing offices, amenity areas, and model units. Ideal candidates will possess in-depth knowledge of procurement, CAD drafting skills, and familiarity with multifamily industry standards, with proven experience coordinating installations and completing project punch lists.
Key Responsibilities
Furniture Sourcing & Specification
• Select and specify commercial-grade furniture and soft goods tailored to each project
• Ensure selections support project budget, design vision, and long-term durability
• Develop and maintain detailed FF&E documentation, including spec sheets and procurement logs
Vendor & Supplier Relationships
• Oversee communications with vendors and manufacturers
• Negotiate pricing and lead times to optimize project outcomes
• Monitor timelines for production, shipment, and delivery
CAD & Documentation
• Create and update furniture plans and layouts in AutoCAD
• Collaborate with the design team to coordinate shop drawings and space planning
• Ensure floorplans and project documentation are current and accurate
Field Coordination & Installation Oversight
• Organize and manage delivery and installation schedules, providing white-glove service standards
• Conduct thorough punch-walks to identify and resolve any damages or deficiencies
• Liaise with vendors for solutions and confirm project completion
Budget & Project Management
• Develop, track, and manage FF&E budgets
• Offer creative value-engineering alternatives as needed
• Consistently communicate procurement status to stakeholders
Logistics & Scheduling
• Coordinate phased deliveries for complex, multi-building projects
• Work directly with contractors and property management on site-level logistics
Required Skills & Qualifications
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in furniture procurement or interior design
• Advanced proficiency with AutoCAD (Revit and SketchUp experience a plus)
• Strong knowledge of multifamily or hospitality furniture standards and commercial-grade products
• Onsite installation and punch-list management experience
• Skilled in Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Suite, and procurement software
• Exceptional communication and organizational abilities
• Willingness and ability to travel for project visits and installations
