Interior Decorator Assistant

We are seeking a highly skilled University Housing Maintenance Team Member to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for painting resident rooms and common areas. The successful candidate will work independently, with guidance from a lead painter, to complete tasks and assignments. This position requires the ability to work effectively in occupied spaces with large furniture that must be moved away from walls to paint. Responsibilities • Preparing surfaces for painting, including scraping, sanding, cleaning, and removing old paint. • Filling cracks and holes with suitable materials. • Protecting fixtures and laying drop cloths. • Applying paint using various tools (brushes, rollers, spray guns). • Cleaning up paint tools.
