Interior Architect / Interior Designer This mid to senior level open position presents an opportunity for an Interior Architect/Interior Designer to join the SLAM office in Glastonbury, CT. This position represents an opportunity for the right candidate to grow with the firm and contribute to our well-established corporate/workplace practice. About the Role: • 10+ years of experience working as an interior architect or interior designer in the corporate market. • Experience with the architectural design process and integration of all aspects of Interior Design, including programming, planning, design development, construction documents, construction administration, and overall project execution. • Good interpersonal skills, excellent listening, and communication skills. • Ability to work independently and as part of an effective team. • Self-starter, responsible, organized, highly motivated, and detail-oriented. • Management of project budgets, schedules, consultants, staffing, resources, and general business practices. • Ability to direct, organize, and mentor junior staff with oversight of their activities. • Ability to lead clients and project teams from initial concept through construction completion. • Contribute to the growth, development, and success of the corporate market practice. • Bachelor's degree in Architecture or Interior Design (NCIDQ Certified Interior Designer). • Experience with Revit. Business Development: • Lead and/or contribute to proposal development. • Work with market leadership to identify and pursue Interiors/Corporate Market prospective clients and opportunities. • Participate in project team interviews as appropriate. • Active participation in local professional organizations.
