About The Role: Staging Assistant
We are looking for a motivated, flexible, and detail-oriented Home Staging Assistant to join our team. As a Staging Assistant, you will work closely with our team to prepare homes for sale. Your responsibilities will include arranging furniture, selecting accessories, cleaning, and organizing, and other related tasks as assigned. The ideal candidate will have an eye for design, excellent organizational and communication skills, and be able to work independently and as part of a team.
Responsibilities:
• Help the stager(s) select furniture and accessories, pack accessories, and put them in the pre-staging area.
• Assist in the delivery of accessories to the home to be staged, help unload, put boxes in the room they belong in, unpack, iron, collapse boxes, and put packing materials in bags.
• Help stage the home by determining placement of furniture and placing accessories. Be aware of what is going on and provide help wherever it is needed.
• Return to the warehouse to get missing or needed items, and sometimes return unused items to the warehouse and put them away.
• Pack up pillows, clear all furniture surfaces of accessories to prepare furniture for removal, pack up accessories, pack up bedding, take down art and patch nail holes, sweep or vacuum if necessary.
• Help take accessories back to the warehouse, unpack, and put things away.
• Manage inventory by tracking the location and condition of items.
• Maintain a relatively clean and orderly warehouse.
• Assist in assembling basic furniture including dining tables, dining chairs, accent chairs, console tables, media stands, bed frames, and other related items.
• Place online orders for office supply, staging, and interior design projects.
• Complete in-store shopping for needed inventory and returns when necessary.
Availability Requirements
• Available to work 2-5 days per week
• Monday-Friday, occasional Saturday’s
• Able to work within 7am-2pm timeframe
Qualifications
• 18 years or older
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Flexibility and resourcefulness
• Customer and team-focused
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Valid driver’s license in the state of Hawaii
• Clean driving record
• Ability to lift up to 50lbs
Things You Should Know
• Our days are at times fast paced and we need partners that embrace that aspect of the business. We are looking for someone who is quick on their feet.
• Our warehouse is in Honolulu but project locations range all over the island (with certain exceptions). Being comfortable driving from location to location is a MUST.
• Hours vary, depending on what projects are happening and some weekend work may be required. We tend to be busy in spring and summer, but less busy in the fall and winter months.
• We start every employee by having an initial trial period of one month. At the end of the trial period, we will assess if we are a good fit for each other.
