Job Overview We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Interior Designer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of design principles, including color theory, and have the ability to translate client needs into functional and aesthetically pleasing spaces. This role requires proficiency in various design software and an aptitude for sales to effectively communicate ideas and close projects. Responsibilities • Collaborate with clients to determine their needs, preferences, and budget for interior design projects. • Develop design concepts and present them to clients using sketches, mood boards, and digital renderings. • Utilize software tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, SketchUp, Revit, and CAD to create detailed design plans. • Select appropriate materials, furnishings, color schemes, and decor that align with the client's vision. • Prepare contracts and manage project budgets to ensure financial feasibility throughout the design process. • Coordinate with contractors and vendors to oversee the implementation of designs from concept through completion. • Conduct site visits to assess progress, address any issues, and ensure adherence to design specifications. • Stay updated on industry trends, materials, and technologies to provide innovative solutions. Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design or a related field is preferred. • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, SketchUp, Revit, and CAD software is essential. • Strong understanding of color theory and its application in interior spaces. • Excellent sales skills with the ability to effectively communicate design concepts to clients. • Experience with budgeting for projects and managing contracts is a plus. • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. • A portfolio showcasing previous design work is required for consideration. • Knowledge of building codes and regulations related to interior design is beneficial.
