Home Decor Sales Associate

Job Overview Republic of Decor is a growing luxury home design store & boutique interior design studio opening a new location in Greenville, SC. We have twice been recognized as a top 50 Independent Home Furnishings store in the US by Home Accents Today. Republic of Decor is seeking talented, motivated, and multi-tasking candidates for retail sales associate roles. You will inspire customers with your knowledge of home décor trends, assist them in creating beautiful spaces, and ensure an elevated shopping experience. Duties • Greet customers and clients warmly with outgoing personality • Provide expert guidance on home décor products, including furniture, accessories, and accents, suggesting complementary items to maximize satisfaction and sales • Operate the POS (Point of Sale) system accurately for transactions, including cash handling and processing payments • Maintain attractive merchandising displays and ensure shelves are stocked with appealing merchandise • Manage stock levels through stocking, inventory checks, and organizing backroom storage efficiently • Provide excellent phone etiquette when answering inquiries or assisting customers remotely • Help promote interior design services • Support the planning and execution of in-store events • Help plan and create social media content Qualifications • Passion for interior design and home decor • Strong retail sales experience, especially in home décor or related fields • Strong customer service and communication skills with the ability to connect with diverse customers • Familiarity with POS systems, cashiering, and basic retail math for accurate transactions • Ability to perform merchandising tasks including physical ability to unpack, lift and manage stock organization effectively • Good eye to create social media content ideas Job Types: Part-time, Contract Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour Expected hours: 15 – 30 per week Benefits: • Employee discount Work Location: In person
