We are seeking an experienced and skilled Interior Designer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in interior design, project management, and a deep understanding of government regulations pertaining to public space utilization and design.
The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and planning interior layouts for government offices, meeting rooms, and public spaces to enhance functionality, security, and aesthetics while adhering to strict regulatory and security standards.
Key Responsibilities

• Design and plan interior layouts for government facilities.
• Collaborate with architects, contractors, and government officials to ensure design plans meet all legal, accessibility, and security requirements.
• Select and specify furniture, fixtures, equipment, and finishes while adhering to budgetary constraints and government procurement guidelines.
• Develop detailed drawings and 3D models using computer-aided design (CAD) software to visualize and present design concepts.
• Manage multiple interior design projects from conception through completion.
• Conduct site visits and inspections to ensure compliance with design specifications and government regulations.
• Stay updated on the latest design trends, materials, and technologies applicable within government settings.
• Provide expert advice on space planning, color schemes, and material selections that are durable, cost-effective, and conducive to the intended use of each space.
• Prepare documentation for bid proposals, contracts, and procurement processes.
• Address any design-related issues that arise during construction and provide solutions that comply with all relevant guidelines and standards.
Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field.
• Professional certification in interior design is highly preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in interior design, with a significant portfolio of completed government or commercial projects.
• Strong understanding of building codes, ADA requirements, and other relevant federal, state, and local regulations.
• Excellent project management skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with a diverse range of stakeholders.
